M.V. Muthiah Government Arts College for Women boasts a beautiful campus with a view of the historically significant “Malaikottai” and the serene Sirumalai hills. The college offers 13 undergraduate, 9 postgraduate, 6 M.Phil, and 2 Ph.D. programs, benefiting a total of 2,980 students. The institution is blessed with state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories, a library, a playground, and a hostel within the campus.
The college has received generous support from various stakeholders, including Mr. N.S.V. Sidhan, Member of Parliament, who contributed funds for the Department of Computer Science, the construction of an auditorium, and an open auditorium. Ms. BalaBharathi, MLA of Dindigul Constituency, also allocated funds for the construction of classrooms. Under the RUSA 1.0 scheme, the college received 2 crores from the Central and State Government for infrastructure development, resulting in the construction and renovation of 13 additional classrooms and the extension of the open auditorium. The Prachithalaivar Dr. MGR Century memorial new building, with 23 classrooms and 4 laboratories, further enhances the college’s infrastructure.
